Who we are?

Hi,
My name is Eric Chew and we created this site to keep in touch with family and friends.

My wife, Siew Lan, whom I have known for many years before marrying loves Shopping. However she does care for the family a lot as we do not have any other helpers.

Well we find some quiet time watching DVD movies together, when the kids go to bed! We also occationally go to the cinema. She usually prefer watching action and soapy movies!!!

It's No! No! to horror movies!

Hobbies

The boys are into afew hobbies. Starwars figures and Hotwheels are the toys they would hunt around whenever there are at the shopping malls.

Why is this site called 'Upstairs At Eric's' ?

To start of, my name is...yes you guess it ERIC. My favourite pass time is listening to music and one of my favourite albums is by an 80s group called YAZOO. Their first album is call "Upstair's At Eric's".

The Family - Eric, Siew Lan & Kids

This is our family photo taken during Chinese New Year 2005. We have 2 boys and a baby girl. Ryan (on the right) is the eldest and he is 10 years old. Dylan (on the left) is 6 years old and baby Melissa is 2 years now.

Ryan the Fast and Furious Starwars Fan!

Ryan is our eldest son. He is 10 years old. He is an extremely playful kid. Always looking for fun and ending up getting into trouble. Likes eating spagetti and like all kids....Mc Donalds.

Ryan loves Starwars! He collects Starwars figurines and vehicles. They are all kept in a glass showcase as in this picture. He has many favorite characters like Boba Fett, Jango Fett, Clone Troopers and Mace Windu. He has an X-Wing Fighter and also the Tie Fighter. Ryan is currently looking for Millennium Falcon and Clone Trooper but unfortunately it's very expensive as it is very rare.

Ryan also likes fast cars. He keeps track of car performance from BHP, 0-100km performance and even which car is having Brembo breaks.

Dylan Says "I Want Rice With Soup"

Dylan is our second son. Food with him is very simple. It's always, "Dad I want Rice with Soup" . Dylan loves to stay at home which is very unusual for kids his age. He is mummy's boy. Every night he will ask " Mom, can you sleep with me please ? "

Loves playing with "Thomas and Friends" and he recently also picked up cycling on two wheels which he is very proud of. He like everything Yellow. From t-shirts to cars.

He is 6 years old and he also likes Starwars but not as much as his brother. Like all kids, loves watching TV. Favourite channel is Cartoon Network. Favourite DVD for now is "The Incredibles" as he likes seeing "Violet" with her super powers and shy looks.

Melissa, Our National Day Baby

Baby Melissa was born on 31st August 2004 which is Malaysia's Independence Day. She is just over 2 years old and just started to walk which is big trouble for us. She just can't keep still...always busy walking up and down the house. Loves watching children musical DVDs and this is one way to keep her still for a couple of minutes.

She is lovely and plays well with his brothers. Being the youngest has it's advantages as she always gets what she wants.
